Who are we?

We are Jomablue Pty Ltd ACN 109 385 079 (in this Policy referred to as ‘Jomablue’, ‘we’, ‘ours’ or ‘us’), an Australian proprietary company limited by shares, with its registered office at Suite 73, 330 Wattle Street, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia. We provide software to assist event organizers with delivering the event and allowing them to better understand how event attendees engage with the event.

What personal information do we collect?

Generally, the type of personal information we collect about you is the information that is needed to facilitate your attendance and experience before, at, and after an event organized by a third party. For example, we may collect details such as your name, your professional address, and contact details such as telephone number and email address so that we may provide you with a Smart Badge to enable you to access the event to exchange your personal information with another delegate or exhibitor or electronically. We may collect details of the exhibitors you have chosen to provide your details to and the areas of the event you have entered into and the time of your arrival and departure. We will not collect sensitive information such as religious beliefs or affiliations, criminal records or health information and any credit card information you provide as part of a purchase is collected by a third party, not by us.

How do we collect personal information?

Generally, we will collect personal information directly from you or from someone providing it on your behalf. This information will usually be collected when you buy a ticket or register to attend an event or when you request information from us.

In some cases, it may be necessary for us to collect personal information about you from a third party. This includes where you have registered to attend an event with the third party. Where this occurs, we will assume that you have consented to your personal information being collected by us and to us handling it in accordance with this Policy. You should let us know immediately if you become aware that personal information has been provided to us by another person without your consent.

How do we use personal information?

We will mainly use your personal information to facilitate the provision of goods and services before, during, and after your attendance at an event. We may also use your personal information for:

  • Regulatory reporting and compliance where that is integral to your attendance at the event
  • Developing, improving, and marketing our products and services to event organizers
  • Undertaking research and gauging customer engagement and participation in activities occurring at an event
  • Analysing trends in attendance at events
  • Other purposes that are required by law (eg prevent a threat to life, health or safety).

 

We are only allowed to store your personal information for as long as necessary having regard to the purpose for which it was collected. We may therefore delete or destroy your personal information after a reasonable time and if you have not used our services for some time, you may have to re-enter or re-supply your personal information to us so that we can continue to provid

Is personal information disclosed to third parties?

Your personal information may be disclosed by us to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • In each of the circumstances set out in the previous section ‘How do we use personal information?’
  • As permitted or required by law
  • To third party suppliers of IT-based solutions that assist us in providing services to you (for example, email and SMS delivery engine)
  • To third parties for the purpose of analyzing trends in participation in conferences, seminars, and exhibitions.

Transborder Data Flows

As part of the products and services offered to you through this website, the information which you provide to us will be transferred to our servers located in Australia and may be located in other countries both inside and outside the European Union (‘EU’). These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the EU. By submitting your personal information, you are agreeing to this transfer, storing, or processing. If we transfer your information outside of the EU in this way, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate security measures are taken with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected as outlined in this Policy. Information Tracking

We use Cookies, Analytics, Web Beacons/Gifs and 3rd Party Tracking to assist us to provide a better service to you and to future customers. Cookies save data about individual visitors to our website such as the visitor’s name and user name, the pages the visitor visited and the preferences chosen. When the visitor revisits the website we may recognize the visitor by the cookie.

We have implemented various physical, electronic, and managerial security procedures in order to protect against unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, and interference. We regularly review security and encryption technologies and undertakes ‘penetration tests’ and will strive to protect your personal information as fully as we protect our own information.

We regularly educate our staff regarding their responsibilities to the safe and secure collection, storage, and destruction of your personal information and their compliance with the relevant privacy laws.

Access to and correction of Personal Information

Subject to any exceptions set out in any applicable privacy laws, we invite you to access any personal information we hold about you, and where that information is not accurate, complete, up to date, or relevant, you may ask us to correct that personal information within a reasonable time. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you. We may charge AUD180 for each information request to cover our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us about our products and services, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes located on the form/s on which we collect your information.

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted.
